Liverpool have bought exceptionally well for years. Not trying to argue against that. But even if you keep on buying at the level of Fabinho and Jota you aren’t going to get close to what Liverpool have been the last years. That is just how good Liverpool have been and really are.
There will be a regression to the mean here. And with Liverpool having quite a lot resources than the biggest clubs….. anyway. My original point was not to really take away anything from Liverpool, but right now the timing in terms of being good is obviously great. PSG could have been a “super team”, but even if they are good the names are currently bigger than the team. BM are solid etc so it isn’t like you can just win the CL with being average, but competition is probably slightly weaker than “normal”.
