Looks pretty good for the Pats unless I'm missing something. I don't know what happened to Ealy but he was a monster in the Super Bowl.

Like I posted in the other thread, Peppers, Horton, Addison, Johnson, Ealy, Delaire are all pretty much the same at this point, and they just (re-)signed the first four. Ealy lost his starting spot to career backup Addison after coming off a solid Super Bowl, which is really the only good game I've seen from him. Maybe he'll do well in New England, but he had his chances here.

Why specifically?

Im going to assume you are talking to me.

The guy has immense talent and the Patriots only had to move down 8 spots the get him. Not sure what exactly lead to him falling out of favor in Carolina, but he's young enough and talented enough and with the great environment in New England to get back on track.

Hell baby
They moved down 8 picks to get a guy at a position they need help at. He's got some upside playing in a contract year too

I'm more than alright with it.

No one is saying its a bad move. I just don't think its a steal. Ealy is what he is. 3 full seasons of work to go by.
