Maybe take a gander at the Canes board and see what they think of him. Trocheck is dogshit, enjoy.

And was still easily your 2nd best C.

What does that say about Floridas roster?

What’s Floridas excuse for this constant losing post deadline?

what does that have to do with anything? Are we talking about Trocheck or are we talking about the Panthers.

And actually, he wasn’t. Acciari has been much better than him. Go fish.

Yeah no wonder Florida is such a success story, Acciari at 2C.

Florida fans complain the hell out of Trocheck and praise the guy he was traded for who’s had it worse, makes sense.

This trade fixed nothing for Florida, still nothing on C post Barkov, still nothing on defense post Ekblad

Again trade Trocheck but not for this

So yeah trocheck sucks. Would have been better to do nothing.

I liked life better with Wally and Haula. Couldn’t we have waited until the off season for this guy?

Lol Trocheck.

He’s been not good as a Cane.

Has Trochek played professional hockey before? Everyone of his passes is a suicide pass for a turnover.

We bought at the deadline and got worse

Wallmark has an assist tonight.

Also, I'll take heat for this again, I'm sure, but Lehner gets us *zero* points tonight, as well.

Our problem simply is not goaltending. In the past four games, we've scored *two* goals before the third period.

Canes board

this explains your losing streak after upgrading?

This explains what you did to your C and defense?

I still haven’t said Tro is amazing but you traded him for nothing, and the entire Carolina looks bad post Hamilton, Pesce, Mrazek, Reimer injuries

Carolina will inprove next season with Tro in the lineup, Florida will be getting worse

I have zero problem with this trade, the team needed to shore up the C position, and Trocheck hasn’t been the same guy for awhile. I’m not going to shit on him, but the day wasn’t a failure because of this trade, it was a failure because nothing else was done. Particularly on D.

Do you have ADD or are you just from Boston?

Getting rid of Trocheck was addition by subtraction.

My issue is your board is ready to trade everyone because you are frustrated, not caring about return.

Barkov is not a winner, Hubs is not a winner, dump Yandle, dump Trocheck and so on.

So again the question is how do you fix the mess if you trade players for a loss?

I haven't said don't trade him, but did they have to trade him for Haula who's had it worse and is UFA?

There's nothing on C after Barkov, nothing on defense after Ekblad, Hoffman UFA, Dads UFA.
How do you fix this damm mess and not be worse next season?

Panthers fans are going full Ranger fan. Don’t waste your time with these guys. They’ll get it eventually. Even a struggling Trocheck who wins draws as a righty is an improvement in what we had over Haula and you and I both know he’s better than Wallmark even if he hasn’t scored in the first few games since the trade.

Luostarinen is the only player I’m mildly concerned about in the end, because he still has some time for growth and brings some good things to start with. Still most likely a third line center at best.

NBCSN was ripping Trocheck all game last night except for one shift when they said something along the lines of "that's what Trocheck needs to be doing and hasn't been".

Looking at some of the stats last night:
CF% of 48.28 which was 2nd worst on the team.
Got caved in the high danger area 5-0.
Got caved in actual goals scored 3-0

I think he could end up being a good player for the Canes but last night was not good.

What do you care? You're not a Panthers fan, so what difference does it make?

Barkov is not a winner. Guy is a born loser with elite talent. If by some miracle we make the playoffs, we'll get torn to shreds with his papier mache heart.

Huberdeau I would trade for a stud D prospect.

Yandle is the only one we have unrealistic expectations for. He's a #4 Dman, PP specialist. So we shouldn't have such high hopes for him.

Trocheck is beyond crap.

We didn't trade him for a loss. Again, we dumped him for a UFA, 3rd/4th line C, and 2 pretty solid prospects. Don't know how you're not getting that.

Florida:

Gets a great 4C
2 (probably nothing prospects)
clears almost million in salary

Carolina:

Gets maybe the worst 2c in the league for 2 more years

don't you understand hockey, clear loss for Florida.

Seriously, Canes fans are already complaining about him and it's been 4 games, they have another 2 years of that

The losing streak is from the top line going AWOL.

Since the All-star break:

Huberdeau: 12 points in 18 games. 4 point game inflates those stats.
Last 6 games, 1 point, an assist. Last 4 games, 0 points in important games.

Barkov: 8 points in 15 games. 2 points last 6 games, including a 4 game 0 point streak.

They traded Trocheck for bottom 6 centers on expiring deals. They needed to improve center depth as this year did not go as expected for center play with Trocheck turning into Versteeg and Borgstrom failing to improve on his play last year.

Obviously Carolina may "win" this deal if Tro could ever get back on track, but it's far from a guarantee. It's wasn't even his slower skating that was an issue, it was his carelessness with the puck and inability to work with teammates.
If he ever was to hit 50 points this year it would of been as shallow as Bjugstad 3-4 years ago racking up points being the 3rd best player on the top line. He went from the #1 person on the 2nd line to being dead weight here.

Florida will once again enter the offseason with a decent amount of cap space, with just under 24 mil without re-signing RFAs or UFAs.
Their center talent will have to rely on Borgstrom finally making it click or trading for another center.

And yea, fans are upset and are posting trade everyone posts. It's called frustration of watching a team blow another season, especially one that started decent and the playoffs were truly in reach. The core down this stretch, sans Ekblad, has not stepped up at all.

This is exactly what I’m getting at.

30 teams outside Florida would love to have Barkov on their roster.
To you he’s a loser.

I’ve wanted to see Panthers to turn into a regular playoff team but with this garbage it isn’t happening.

Cap space won’t be enough to fix it.

That team currently has no strenghts and little assets to go out and address an issue without creating another

Even if he’d decline to 40 point player his contract with such a small cap hit wouldn’t be an achor at all.

He was still on 53 point pace in Florida, yeah a complete anchor

If you think there is nothing on defense after Ekblad, there is no reason to think you can evaluate the play of Trocheck, Haula or Wallmark. :help:

There isn’t any quality.

The top of the defense needs rebuild or are we really putting this entire season and Floridas history on Bob?

I agree. It's a mess created by over relying on prospects developing and handing out bad contracts. Not being willing to take a chance ever at the TDL to acquire someone like, McD would of done wonders on solidifying the blueline for example.

New GM should be brought in to fix it. Tallon has had enough time to still have this team picking 10-15.

You are hillarious. If you were not being so dramatic and over the top, maybe your buffoonish take could fool a few people, but anyone with even a cursory knowledge of the Panthers know you are spewing bs.
