This is the best time to do it. Early in the season when the team in general is playing well enough to cover any of his deficiencies. He's getting great experience that will pay off very well later in the year.

Didn't see the game. Rookie defensemen take years to get it right. This is why you don't want 2 or 3 in the lineup at the same time.

One thing I have noticed about Siegenthaler, he will make a really nice play but if you go back and rewind you will see it was his screw up a few seconds earlier that led to him having to making that nice play. It drives me insane.

His underlying numbers are great though, is he really that bad?
Haven't been able to watch mora than 1 or 2 Caps games

Of course his speed will slow over time, but someone with his stick skills doesn't need to rely on speed to make defenders look bad.

More important question will Ovi ever score again?

Not much cardio needed for standing around most of the game....same as NFL players.

Top-line needs to pick it up sooner rather than later though. They are bleeding goals and chances against.

with Vrana breakout (hopefully) looks like we got a two 1st lines situation... thats even better than having two 1st line centers!
