Which players of the ones available, under a different coach, would you expect to start WWIII, tomorrow?
Like I said, the team doesn’t have the muscle to do anything in retaliation. Under a different coach I’d suspect some of the current NYR would not be on the roster as they aren’t “Torts” guys if you know what I mean.

Lemieux would never have let this go past the last game. Its why i didnt want him to leave, id have kept him over anyone on the 4th line and over Blackwell as well because its something we dont have. He has just enough crazy that teams wouldn't know if he was gonna do the same to their star player and again he definitely would have confronted Wilson.

You believe Lemieux intimidated people? That he's a deterrent? Not that anyone is.

He was a pest, not someone to fear.

If you think the solution to stopping players from chucking knuckles or throwing their body hard at our own players is to do the exact same thing to them, but harder, is the solution...then you are out to lunch.

It doesn't work well, at all.

This is a league problem to solve. Not a self-policing thing to do, and self-policing has NEVER worked out in the history of the NHL. Self-policing only escalated/escalates the problem.

Enough with the revenge-porn fantasies veiled as something else. We know you just want to see violence. Every time someone tries to disguise it and be like "I'm not advocating all-out fighting, but..." it just ends up being that the person actually does want fighting and clapping cheeks.

I know you love to play contrarian but at least he would do something, win lose or draw. He held up fine against Wilson previously.

Who the hell cares if we lose this game, Washington must pay for Panarin.

I'm all for revenge, but Lemieux most likely would have done someting stupid and been tossed. Truly tough teams don't need a player to step forward in these situations. They have multiple players that can play and take care of their own business. The Rangers don't have that situation.

It is amazing if you think about it that we even had 5 guys at one point to start the game for a punch up like we did against NJ that time when Torts went ballistic. It was so long ago, but feels like yesterday.

Quinn isn't responsible for the roster.

I love the way the Rangers are being built. Unfortunately, when your roster is young, skill players, you can't play with the big boys, but that will change, starting next season.

So, if I am the Rangers I pretty much just play the game, yet if someone comes in for a hit, maybe the Messier elbow comes up. If someone is near the boards, maybe they get hit harder than normally. They should actually finish their checks, which is basically a euphemism for hitting the player once the puck is already gone. Race for the puck, maybe the other guys gets tangles up in your skates or on the stick. If it come down to it, defense needs to come in without worrying about where the face-off may be, 3rd man in and such need not be worried about. Basically do the stuff other teams do all the time. Rangers are terrible at playing on the edge between what the league considers legal hockey plays and illegal plays, they need to practice that.

I disagree, and I'd like to know whats your solution to this problem because the league isn't doing anything. Do we just bend over and take it? So tell me how we prevent this from happening to our star players again because in the last couple games Zibanejad got elbowed in the mouth, Buch got punched and choked and Panarin was inches away from being an unconscious pool of blood, its easy to say violence isn't the answer and not provide your own solution, the league obviously isn't interested in protecting its players.

So the rangers were insulted by being called period rags, pretty little girls and midgets on the main.

The word delusional was apparently off limits though. f***ing clowns
Aww, they are pretty. Joking aside the main boards is a cesspool. And no shock the modding there is just as bad. How many of you all are in timeout?

Yea - there are definitely double standards. That said, this is an apples to oranges comparison - the reason behind ADA not playing now and the reason TW is playing have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

I only chimed in to say - they both have scumbag tendencies. I would be happy not to have either in the league.

I honestly don't know what Tony did to not be in the league. Gets into it with fans on social media and got into with his backup goalie? Once as a teenager said a slur in a completely different league?

Rooney, I’d agree. Kreider i could definitely see taking the peacemaker role. “Guys, guys...”. Buch has more than Kreider, if you ask me. But either way, we’re splitting hairs. Team is pretty soft when it comes to anything beyond a stick check.

Krieders spine is only available for 23 games out of the season, so that doesnt count

Hoping the Rangers don’t go overboard and leave the ice for short time in protest or something else in addition to this message which has draw the wrong attention to the NHL.

Stop- the Rangers are not going to “ protest” anything. That’s 100% the opposite way things get handled in hockey culture. I think you can be assured we won’t have any Tom Wilson protests on Wednesday.

that’s besides the point. They can break our kids in half b/c the kids are alone. The Rangers have played roulette for a long while and here it is. Hit by a bullet by the same opponent which is on deck.

What a drama queen statement.

The kids didn't take the "bullet".

It's total nonsense to believe that a different lineup stops Wilson from being a piece of shit. He does this to everyone.

The problem isn't the Rangers lineup. It's that the league doesn't really go after Wilson.
