The thing that stands out about this current win streak is that the defense is starting to tighten up. We were averaging a leaky over 3 Goals Against Average before. Now I see that we've made it all the way up to 10th best Goals Against Average.

Right now each defenseman is playing well, with only a few miscues. Jensen, Siegenthaler, and Gudas all have had some really good games lately. Maybe Kempny has had some bad lapses since coming back, but nothing egregious.

The Capitals have 9th highest totals goals in NHL even without Ovechkin's 20 along with Backstrom being out. This is one of the best Capitals team ever and well balanced. Let's enjoy this one to the fullest.

They've been very welcoming to me and others who are fans of others teams so long as there is mutual respect, just as it should be. A healthy range of hockey expertise to go with sense of humour makes this group a reflection of the team they cheer for.

I'm sure you'll both really enjoy your time on the Team Board. I respectfully suggest that you prepare yourself for open warfare if you venture on to the Main Boards. However, here on the Caps Board it's a safe place.
