Why does rolling back to 68 games mean anything? Just because that dude is a Philly fan and wants them to be in first place?

If I am not mistaken 68 roll back means Ovi has 47 goals, Patrnak 47 and Matthews 46, so it doesnt change anything in Rocket race.
This. I checked it too when i heard about this ridiculousness.

When can we all just admit there's no cup this year?

Some names there I haven’t seen in a long time

Nolan Yonkman LoL
Yeah, quite a few from yesteryear. A few guys were out there in '18-19 but I'm not sure exactly what they're up to now: Bobby Carpenter had a stint coaching in DEL, Patrice Lefebvre, Jason Woolley, Kevin Miller, Rob Zettler, Jeff Brown, and Bengt Gustafsson. There's probably more that I missed.

Still making my way slowly thru the 2018 playoffs - spoiler alert, the Caps look pretty good. Watched Game 2 of the Tampa series, and again Kuzy was just a f***ing wizard. Also, the goal Connolly scored to make it 6-2 was just about the mot beautiful garbage time goal I’ve ever seen

Anyone think Vanecek might be sick? Or atleast hope too. Samsonov and vanacek 1 2 punch would be dope. I’d miss Holtby tho

Shouldn't really effect us that much. Holtby coming off the books and we can probably play 2 of Samsonov and Vanecek/Copley or sign a veteran for cheap and we should be fine. We might also get a compliance buyout too, which would help.

Who would we use a CBO on? Kempny seems to be the obvious choice if they don’t think he can get back to pre-injury form but Panik could be on the list too if they think he’s too expensive for what he brings (I don’t). Would say Jensen as well but he started playing better and they don’t have too many other options on the right side. There’s also the issue of the expansion draft next summer and I imagine the names I just mentioned wouldn’t be protected.

Why would they need a compliance buy out? For who?

the Caps really don’t have any bad contracts. It’s hard to complain about a 2.5m salary as needing to be “bought out”

Caps are fine

Like it or not the Caps salary cap plan hinges on getting 2nd pair even strength play and quality penalty killing out of Jensen.

That plan is easily changed. No 2.5 mil AAV deal is anyone’s HINGE. GMBM is no dummy. Jensen rebounded just in time, because they were shopping for his replacement even if short term.
