Caps have to wake up and start to play from 1st period, not from 3rd as usual.

The Caps showing up for 50% or less of regular season games far predates Reirden. Hell, it probably predates Trotz. The players need to find their give-a-shit and play full games. We've seen in fits and starts that they still know what they need to do, but they aren't committed to doing it. Simple as that, IMO.

Maybe OV gets 700 or he doesn't. Blackwood is on a 5 game hot streak so it's possible the Caps will get shutdown offensively. They will not fix their issues in just one game, Devils are actually playing well, so I could see this as another L.

there aren’t many constants over that time....this core group has always had this issue. The team feeds off it I think unfortunately, at times.
