Who are these fan bases poking fun of our rafters. This sounds like a made up excuse to me. I've never heard a fan of any team making fun of any banners. Labre would be the only one to even consider, but he meant a lot to this team. And he is definitely not that big a deal to really look bad and take a retired number down. Going forward I only see a couple of numbers to even consider going up, 12/8/19. So lets not act like the rafters are going to be filled with confetti or something.

32 stays forever he was the heart and soul of this team for over a decade, one of the hardest workers to ever play the game and he had over 1000 points and 3000 pims.

God, that brings back memories. IMO, gotta keep 7 and 32. They each represent a decade of true honor and commitment for a franchise that may or may not have made it for the long term. Sure, 50 years from now, if someone wants to revisit it because they need numbers to field enough jerseys on the ice, but for now, leave it along. A ring of honor should be started though.

Maruk's stache is legendary, but doesn't look great in that pic. Gartner's stache, on the other hand, looks primo. 10/10
