Here's the list from that article. Pretty interesting crop of players they chose and definitely some notable omissions. They use Calder Trophy nominations as a way to classify a player as being a "prospect" for this activity. Notable omissions include Hobbs, Gersich, Pinho, Clark, and Fehervary

Hershey just sent out a tweet indicating there will be an announcement on Monday. Could just be a promotional schedule release or could be a player announcement

The announcement was that the Stanley Cup, the Conn Smythe Trophy, Rocket Richard Trophy, and Prince of Wales Trophy will be in Hershey on October 7th. That is a Sunday evening game against Bridgeport with a 5pm puck drop. Looks like STHs for Hershey will have first dibs on seeing the cup a few hours before the gates will open

are there any former bears still out there to be signed?
The announcement was about the SC being in Hershey, but there is a few ex Bears that haven't found a home yet. Wayne Simpson, Tim Kennedy, Zach Sill, and Garrett Mitchell are a few of the names that are UFAs that played in the AHL. Other notable UFAs in Eurpope include Alex Giroux, Ryan Potulny, Jacob Micflikier and Kris Newbury (doubt any of these guys get signed by Hershey)

Almost Canada
Canada and USA teenagers tied 3-3 midway thru a semifinal in the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup tournament on NHL Network/TSN

The lacrosse style second US goal by Huglen. Some fantastic talent in this tournament as usual. Good move alternating between Canada/Czech and getting TSN involved.

Hershey posted this link, shows good hands, had Riley Sutter on his line for at least 1 highlight

Wayne Simpson signs an AHL deal with Rochester. He was on a 2-way deal last season with Washington/Hershey but didn't seem to fit well within Mann's system

Logan Pyett is a RD with a ton of AHL experience. Spent two seasons in the KHL before coming back to the AHL in 15-16. Didn't play in 15-16 or 16-17 due to being diagnosed with cancer. Could be a very solid addition and a good leader to have around the kids.

Morrison will add depth to the organization and play with Milner in SC

Pyett seems low-risk, moderate or higher-reward for the Bears. I wonder if he'll start in SC to get his legs back.
I'd doubt it. He did play last season in Asia. I'd assume that he did that only to "prove" to teams that he could still play after taking two full seasons off. He'll be a good addition to the room to help the young guys transition and learn to become better pros and he probably was told and accepted the fact that he won't play every night.

It's actually comical that Anthony Peluso was given a two-way contract, yet there are a good amount of players left on the AHL free agent list that are A LOT better than him that will only receive an AHL deal.

Not a big loss in the system. Only notable thing he's done since signing is make sports center top 10 plays. Lot of young guys in Hershey already this year so I'd expect some of them to end up in the ECHL where McGauley was.

McGauley is not a loss at all. He was given a huge opportunity last year when Boyd was recalled and pretty much did nothing. He needs to add some muscle to the frame if he wants to have any time of career outside of the ECHL
