Honestly, if we're going to trying to play a soft, skill game we should be bringing up Bracco and Moore and sitting Gauthier, Brown, Lindholm, etc.
I'm not saying we should, we just seen to want to half ass everything.

It was your condescension that I was taking issue with .

statement:
"I don't really get the whole "he's a great offensive defenseman angle". He can't hit the net, turns it over a lot and contributes little to nothing to a cycle. Then you throw in his defensive game."

me: something something stats.

(which - i explained further that's how people defend him).
literally answering his question of why people defend his game = condescension now?

okay then.

The way they are playing right now, chances of winning home ice are not looking great. I'd rather drop down to the wild card spot. We play better against Tampa than we do against Boston and the Islanders are a team whose luck will run out sooner or later.

I don't think Boston is some great team but I don't trust Babcock against Boston. At least if he's playing Tampa and he sees them load up, he might think about doing the same in the playoffs.

I am not confident Babs can outcoach Trotz in a playoff series.

It is pretty incredible

For a team this skilled we do seen to have trouble scoring consistently at times, just weird

All skill, no will.

Gardiner needs to be traded. He is not the difference in a playoff series. Get something for him go from there.

To be fair, he was the difference maker for the Bruins in game 7 last year...:sarcasm:

I might even go with:
Matthews Nylander Kapanen ;)
Johnsson Tavares Marner
Babcock might have to rethink his line combos when we meet the Bruins. You’ve got to be ready to change things up.

Personally, I think Matthews needs an agitator who can go to the net which would make his stellar shot even more dangerous with another obstacle in close. That’s Kadri. He can be our Oshie without a trade.

Nylander IMO is solid as 3C with Johnsson/Brown.
Marleau should be on the 4th line now and PP.

Johnsson...Matthews...Kadri
Hyman...Tavares...Marner
Brown...Nylander...Kapanen
Marleau + 4th

Get a RHD. Even Jensen in Detroit is acceptable for now. Then deal Gardiner.

Rielly
Muzzin
Dermott on the left side.

They don’t have a player in the top 10 in scoring and only 2 in the top 30.
