Can't wait for the 2022 NHL Lockout

I like that the salary cap is going up, but I would like the salary floor to not go up as much (as the salary cap). This should have been worked into the contract and I hope after the next lockout it will be.

There are two reasons for this:

1) The regularly scheduled lockouts occur, basically, because crap teams don't make a profit. They don't make a profit because they are crap teams (no local $) and they are forced to spend up to the floor.

2) The Illitch's will spend to the cap so the Wings will have a competitive advantage over these crap teams.

The Red Wings recent decline is all because of the salary cap. It is impossible to keep up with teams like Chicago and Pittsburgh that have had high draft picks for twenty straight years in the salary cap era. In olden days, at the very least Hossa would be a Wing (as well as Franzen), Sutter would likely be a Wing, and some others as well.... I hate the salary cap. Let market economics do its work.
