The MTS Center is like 'Death Valley' for the Canucks.

But having said that, it often seemed in seasons past that Winnipeg was the last stop on a long five or six game road-trip and the Canucks simply had no gas left in the tank.

So starting out a road-trip in Winterpeg will be a change. And of course the Jets are without Laine and Dubois hasn't finished quarantining yet, so Canucks catch a break there.

Still, if history is any guide, Demko will have to be their beast player by a fair margin. Without last change, the Canucks are going to get some ugly matchups out there. So the Canucks with one of the leading penalty totals in the league, will get a workout on the PK again.

Hellebuyck and the Jets have historically owned the Canucks. I don't know why it would be any different.

I can give you one reason the Canucks have an advantage; Laine is gone and Dubois is in quarantine. Lucky timing.

I agree with VanCan. We match them on paper regardless of our history. And possibly our goaltending is a little stronger.

Hellebyuck is a great goalie
Yup. Not going to get the advantage of the crappy Ottawa goalies letting in several weak ones e dry game. Combine a real goalie against us, and giving up fourth shots to players with elite skill, and I see us getting pounded. 6-2 for the Pig.

Pionk and Stanley playing good for the Jets, I wouldnt UNDER estimate there d. But overall they look beatable but still better than us. Dubois still injured I guess butll make that lineup EVEN better

The Jets are a team that have spanked the Canucks for years...especially during the years they had Byfuglien..Like the Golden Knights, the Jets are Kryptonite to the Canucks.

If the Canucks expect to have any success this year in the North Division, they are going to have to find a way to beat this team (and their insanely good goalie).

9pm start Winnipeg local time..Should favour the Canucks.

Winnipeg and Vancouver are different teams than they were two years ago. They are closely matched now that Vancouver has a first line and some playoff experience playing heavy teams. While Winnipeg has lost talent and size. Should be tight series this year.
