What an absolutely idiotic contract.

1) This should be Demko's team. Instead, it's now Braden Holtby's team. Hope Demko enjoys watching Holtby get 50-60 starts from Travis Green next year.

2) Holtby was one of the worst goalies in the NHL last year, and it wasn't an isolated bad season. He's been below-average for 3 years now.

3) If Demko does win out, which all of us hope, we're stuck spending $4 million on a backup in 21-22 when the Hughes/Pettersson extensions come in. Anything we should have been looking at should have been for 1 year.
