Never ever liked his game, even when he was with Chicago.

Won't be missed.

To be entirely fair, he wasn't really that bad in his stint here. Could be a solid #8/9 fill in Dman, but not all a player that should be playing top 4 minutes.

Seems like a bit of an odd move unless we're close to acquiring another defenseman or perhaps calling somebody up.

Say what you will about Barker, he's got NHL experience, and it would be an odd move for a team to risk losing any blueline depth whatsoever ahead of the playoffs.

Addition by subtraction! Now we won't see fourth liners look like prime-Lemieux when playing against him.
But who's going to replace him as the 8th or 9th dman? I'm sure Vandermeer is going to get walked around every game

The epitome of a soft player.

When my 10 year old daughter can identify his soft plays, you know it's evident to EVERYONE who watches.

Myers, Burns or Johnson (Colorado) is my guess. All RD.

or it could simply mean Kevin Connauton is being recalled.
