obviously theres going to be a + there... my point is if you can include Beartschi who has term left in his contract + a young prospect (tier 2 prospects not Hog and Pod) you make that deal.

I could see Stecher on his way out. He is not going to be back next year, and is pretty replaceable this year. If we can get an expiring asset for him, I could see it. Tryamkin is also a possibility as it doesn't sounds like he is willing to work his way up from Utica.

Anyone trading for Simmonds is doing so based off of his name, not his play the last few years. His drop in PP I thought would be the last thing to go.

Only 4 PP goals and 8 PP points in his last 75 games.

Maybe Benning moves a future 1st and cap dumps Eriksson for Simmonds. Simmonds sucks but is a UFA and moving Eriksson solves a lot of future cap crunch issues
