Quesnel, B.C.
Going to try something a little different to shorten it up as well as hopefully bring a bit more positive energy in. Once I figure out how to get the HUT Cards to fit on 1 Post I’ll use them again.

For those interested, I’ve added the GST Time Zone (Gulf Standard Time) for our HF Canucks Friend @Lonny Bohonos . I have room to squeeze in more if anyone else wants to Post or DM.

Let’s have some fun tonight and get off to a better start than those other 10 games people keep talking about

Hopefully we see the kind of effort that Hoglander brings

Start to rub off on guys like JT Miller

I also think that we’re due for some good luck around our net regarding bad bounces and own goals

So let’s hope for an intense, physical game

Love these GDT OP’s. Their being so funny balances (almost) with the total sorrow watching us actually play.
We will score 2, but the boys from The Pig will put up 5.

Great GDT GP..
Even though we lost the game on Friday, it was good to see that the team is still continuing to play with more structure...It was essentially a one goal game.
Remains to be seen if tonights game is more of the same, or the game opens up a bit.?..PP is still sputtering.

The ice wasn't very good last game, hopefully the Rogers Arena ice staff rectify that.

Pretty much 21 games in and Toronto and Edmonton seem to be untouchable in the North Division. They have elite game changers in their their prime and both have amassed depth up front to outscore their opponents. As impressive as they are, I think they would be middle tier teams in their normal respective divisions. Their D may get tested once they face off against other top tier divisional leaders such as Tampa and Vegas.

I see Winnipeg and Montreal in the next tier with decent depth up front and on the back end. No real standouts, but they have the horses to win tight games. Calgary and Vancouver are eerily similar. Calgary has better defensive depth but something is really off with that team right now. Some players are just dogging it and there's a total absence of structure.

Vancouver needs to run the table against Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Montreal down the stretch to have a prayer. They have 2 regulation wins in 12 games against those opponents. I don't see it happening.

I just hope the coaching staff and management see this and just go full out on prospect/player development. Players like Benn, Roussel and Eriksson may not really really hinder the team, but we know what they are and this franchise doesn't seem to have them in their plans going forward. It irks me to see MacEwen and Rathbone sit out games for this reason.

Must-win game, to me. I don't think it's overselling it to say the season hinges on tonight's result. No more room for moral victories, no more room for getting shut out, no more room for allowing 5+ goals. This is it y'all
Pretty well nails it....these games have gone from 'would be great to win' to pretty well 'must wins' if the playoffs are remain even a remote possibility.

Canucks are currently four games below .500. That means in the next 12 games they have to go 8-4 just to get back to .500 by game 33. And .500 is not going to be nearly enough to get a team above the playoff bar. And at that point, there's basically only 23 games left in the season.

The interesting thing to me is what the Canucks do once the playoff math gurus put away their slide-rules on the season. Will they start benching guys who are just playing out a string; bring up some younger guys; giving DiPietro some games? Or will they just go over a cliff with the same tired and ultimately unsuccessful approach, to appease some of the veteran players?
