After being a fan of this team since 1997, I can say that Canucks fans are most comfortable when the sky is falling. They find a certain degree of calm and comfort in overt pessimism.

If anything, the fact that we've gotten to the shootout so often is significantly flattering our record. Our ROWs (regular and overtime wins, the tie-breaker) are tied for 11th worst in the league with a whole bunch of really bad teams.
