So a year? That was the point of the question to gauge what those on the board thinks a coach could get. I personally think Rod's leash is a bit shorter since our owner is a bit more involved than probably healthy and has already shown he doesn't believe in the "establishment"

With Dundon, it’s impossible to tell. Remember, this is the same guy that felt he could lowball prospective GMs because he believed this position was something people were fighting over. So if he holds that same ideology about the coach, he could very well fire Brindamour at a drop of a hat.

It’d be a bad look for the organization, but Dundon has shown he doesn’t really care about how his actions look around the league. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t have an effect. If this team cycles through coach after coach, year after year, it’s going to be more and more difficult to find someone worthwhile to fill that role.

This is Bill Peters hockey. Everything around the outside. No jam. Shots that have no chance of going in. Players on the wrong side of the puck defensively. Nobody making life difficult on the opposing goalie. Everything Brindy said he saw and was going to fix.

I agree that this is starting to look a lot like Peters brand of hockey. This team was playing a completely different style of game during preseason and the first few games of the season.

The team just isn't that good. Brindy may not be a good coach but he doesn't exactly have much to work with. Jordan Staal is a boat anchor of a center. He's a 3rd line center being paid 6 million dollars. Wallmark and Roy just aren't NHL players. Our defense is overrated as usual, and some of us want to trade one of the actual good d-men for a player that probably won't do much to fix our offensive woes.
