This is exactly how we ruined Eric. He wasn't a sniper but his last 3 seasons Peters refused to allow him to shoot and all that talent went to waste. Put Zykov in front of the net, someone who has quantifiable success there. Svechnikov, with his lethal shot can work one of the half boards.

He made a bad decision but I'm more mad that he half-assed it. Go down to the ice and get in front of the puck; or if you're not going to do that, bail out and get to the front of the net and help out on the other side. He half-assed it both ways.
