In case it has not been posted on this board, here are several video clips of the 1973 Stanley Cup final series between the Montreal Canadiens and Chicago Black Hawks, as they were then called. The series went six game but is the highest scoring final series ever--by far--since 56 goals were scored. This is courtesy of Robert Lefebvre's Eyes on the Prize website.

That's great, I've never seen any clips from either Hawk-Hab final from the 70's besides Jacques Lemaire scoring from center.

Would it be fair to say that if 3/4 of your 'top guns' are DENNIS Hull, Jim Pappin and Pit Martin, you're not going to win the Stanley Cup - especially against the Habs?

Annnywwwaaayyyy, great stuff and sadly missing from the Canadiens DVD set (no full games available anywhere?). Such cheesy music!

Edit:
If I remember correctly, Valeri Kharlamov had been invited to Canada around this time and he witnessed at least some of the final games. I remember him talking about it in his book and claiming that the pace was much slower than in the games played in the Soviet league.
