Will Butcher has tapped out as an NHL player. I can’t say for certain but I’m reasonably sure average OHL players could outskate him. His skating is simply not NHL quality and it’s exacerbated by the fact he is neither big nor strong. Based on his absolute lack of progression on both strength and speed I don’t see much upside to him and he should be traded

I remember how some of us felt "Fortunate" to have signed him.

Now we've seen all we can see with Butcher and I believe it's time to move on.
