It is, I think, a safe presumption that Draper is on the team for his D, but I have been wondering about who would comprise the CDN penalty killing unit(s). Not being able to watch many games this year, i have tried to find some stats on the net that might help me out, but to no avail.

I gotta think Draper and maybe Brad Richards would be the No. 1 forward pairing. Probably Adam Foote would be one of the D.

Florida.
Marty St. Louis and Lecavalier have both been getting PK time and have been creating shorthanded oppertunities, so it would not shock me if they got a look on the PK.

Not to sound like a jerk, but who would you replace with Gagne?

as PK'er?

i'd put him out there above Sakic, Iginla, Smyth, and Thornton... he's one of the better defensive forwards in the league, before Doan possibly as well.

Heatley kills penalties with Alfredsson on Ottawa.

There are probably a whole bunch of guys who could step up when required.

they're going to make a decision based on who is getting ice-time where, for sure. if someone is seeing a LOT of PP time, then they will likely won't see much time on the PK.

Niedermayer is out but how can you have Pronger/Redden on both the first and third PK unit.

Gagne, in my opinion, should be paired with Draper as the top pair. Great defensive ability...and imagine the shorthanded chances with all that speed!

Every D-Man on this team is on their teams #1 PK unit except McCabe.

Every forward on the team plays on the PK except Bertuzzi and Nash.

That may be true, but that doesn't really indicate who is good at what. A lot of coaches use their best players in all situations regardless of their defensive ability. Petr Nedved kills penalties in Philadelphia, does that mean he's a great defensive player? Hell no!
