    I think the validity of those results is clouded by the fact that Switzerland is 3rd in attendance.

    That's because Switzerland played the US yesterday...the US fans count toward the Swiss average.

    This tournament seems to be home ice advantage for both the Americans and the Canadians.

    If these two should meet, I'm curious to see who would have more fans in the stands.

    lol, Gord and Pierre said that the last WJC held in the States managed an attendance of 81 for the Gold medal game in Boston.

    Not many Hockey loving Americans even know this tournament exsists :shakehead

    I'm the only kid on my 30 player high school team who even watched a game.

    Anywho... Sidney Crosby must be a big drawer to. I know I got excited just watching him over a webcast for the first time, let a lone catch the kid live in person before he makes it big.

    Yeah, that was pretty bad. I think Bryan Berard captained a U.S. squad that didn't do that well that year ('96 I believe). Things seem to be going much better this year. The event being so close to the Canadian border has really helped the atmosphere IMO.
