    Check out Team Alberta;

    D is huge, notably KANZIG!!!!

Can we get a report on Comrie in goal? Is this kid Canadian? He plays in the USA?

Team Alberta took some heat for taking Comrie over other boys that live year round here.
Keegan Kanzig is from my hometown so I have been following him closely.

Team B.C.- I've seen Matt Needham play 2 times with Kamloops and he's a pretty solid player at the WHL level already. Not really a flashy kind of offensive guy (maybe he is within his own age group?) just the kind of player who's ahead of his age in his ability to think the game at speed, use his line-mates, play in all zones...hockey sense basically! *He was out on the PK in the 3rd period of a tied game, which says a lot for a 15 yr old call-up*

The other BC guys I've heard a lot about are Lazar and Nikkel. I haven't seen either play but I've heard: Lazar is a high level scorer with decent size and speed, Nikkel is a physical nasty (to the point of being borderline/crossing the line at times) defenceman.
Also Sam Reinhart, the 3rd brother, is tearing up BC Major Midget offensively right now.

I saw Needham play all 10 of his WHL games and he is a very good 2 way player.
Good bloodlines....his Dad is Stanley Cup winner Mike Needham.

Domi - Excellent skater that uses his speed and agility to dominate. Good vision, hands, and a bit of a mean streak. He's rather small, but certainly doesn't play like it.

Subban - A bit of a river boat gambler. Great PP QB that can either skate the puck out of trouble or make a great first pass.

I think Alberta wins the whole thing.....

Best Goaltending is Quebec IMO with two potential 1st round QMJHLers...2nd would be Alberta with Comrie

Best defense is hands down Alberta, this is just one amazing defense to watch

Top offensive team IMO is Alberta.

I will give updates at the games I go too since I will be attending the games.

NFLD and PEI usually do not have enough good players in one age group to fill the line up so they have to get the top underagers.

Nova Scotia and New Brunwick usually were always good at bringing the young talent in to play if they are good enough.

Solid list, thanks for the input.

I'd add Steven Varga (D) and Bryson Cianfrone (F) as well to that list. Both should be top 10 picks come May. And rumor is that Baptiste hurt his shoulder last week and may not be able to play. Big loss for Ontario if true. He's in the top 4, IMO.

As for the tournament. I've only seen Ontario, but I would say they would be a tough team to beat. Not as much high-end talent up front as last year, but much more deep on defense. Here's hoping for a good tournament.

Lastly, Domi should surprise some. Complete opposite of his dad. The most skilled player in Ontario with ease, and plays better with/against better players, which makes this tournament interesting. Great vision, hands are insane, and he's got a solid release to boot. Though he's incredibly hard to get the puck off (low centre of gravity), size is the big issue since he hovers around 5'8. Consistency is also something to work on.

Hopefully some of the more active posters from the OHL board come over here because a few have seen a lot more puck than I have.

for anyone wondering about team ontario, here is a youtube channel i recently came accross of mostly the don mills flyers team which has both Darnell Nurse and Max Domi, look for #16 in the videos http://www.youtube.com/user/95dmf

I believe Domi could lead the tournament in point, havent seen much of other provinces but heard MacKinnon could be up there too.
Ontario's most OHL ready IMO is Ritchie, look out for him

Good list but there is one thing i would disagree with you. I think Ontario has the top offensive team in this tournament. They excellent offensive players such as Domi, Ritchie, Baptiste (all projected in top 5 of OHL draft 2011) etc. It will be hard to stop them. But I do like Alberta's team also. Seen Comrie play a couple times and that kid is a wall in net excellent player.

Take out Malette, Bateman - add in Cianfrone

If you have experienced D players they can easily shut down Domi - inability to score against tougher teams. Goatending for Ontario is solid.

    I like Forsberg and McKinnon
Comerie - has been inconsistent over the past 6 months.

Baptiste apparently is going. He plays physical and may need to tone that down if he is still hurting, but his best assets are his wheels, they they should be in fine shape. Good chance of seeing him and Domi together, hopefully with Ritchie. Differing skills sets, but with a lot of talent, that could be the dominant line in the tourney.

That may be somewhat true for Domiwhen he is playing on his usual midget team, but playing on an all star team can open a lot of ice. Not a knock against his current line mates, but they are not Baptiste and Ritchie. Key in on Domi and those other two will absolutely destroy you.
