Just noticed that in the first three rounds of the draft there are 52 Canadians out of 90 in the first three rounds. That's 58% of the draft in the first three rounds are Canadian. After that the next rounds even out and it becomes closer to 50%.

Was it just a lull of a year for Europeans or is it a trend? There were 8 Americans drafted in the first round is that a trend? Is the enrollment of Canadians on the rise?

In 2003, we had like 17 or 18 first round draft pick....

The first round in 2003 was probably the best ever in terms of quality prospects but wether they will be good players in the NHL remains to be seen.
