Whatever, I'd rather get outplayed and win like the Leafs rather than outplay them and lose like the Sens.
or u could outplay them and win, like the finns. :handclap:

Winning is what's important.

If they hadn't scored 3 goals in the first, they probably wouldn't have played the way they did in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

They wanted to score, they wanted to score on the PP, and they wanted to win.

Mission accomplished.

And they even got a nice performance from Brodeur as well.

Lots of good things to focus on.
probably wouldn't have?

what about the game vs finns?

if u think canada was good enough, that's your problem....

Definately not so in Canada's case.
If that's everything the Czechs have though they're in deep doo doo :)

Not sure if it's a record low for Team Canada regarding shots on goal, but on a quick look back through the history books Canada also had 16 shots on goal against Slovakia in the 2004 World Championship semi-final game. It was all Canada needed because they won that game 2-1 with Luongo in net making 28 saves.

Canada had 18 shots on goal in a 4-3 win over Slovakia in a prelim game at the 2000 Worlds in Russia. Slovakia had 21.

Canada was outshot by Switzerland 28-19 in a preliminary game, but it didn't matter. Canada won 3-2 at the 2002 Worlds with Giguere making 26 saves.

As for the Olympics, Canada was outshot by Czech Republic 36-23 at the 2002 salt Lake games in a 3-3 tie. Hasek with 20 saves. Brodeur with 33.
