Another jinx thread. Last year on our boards someone started a thread about how it was highly improbable that we'd miss the pplayoffsp--right before the collapse. Now this. We never learn.

I just think it would send a good message (a better one would be if they shipped him out of town but I don't think they want to do that). I agree swapping letters on clothing won't fix the underlying issues in Toronto though.

I'm tired of repeating myself. Go read the thread.

You've said that swapping letters won't fix the problem, so if changing Phaneuf as captain wouldn't matter, how can it be his fault for the collapse?

There is a larger sample size, and it goes on for several seasons. During this time, the Leafs have been one of the worst possession teams in the NHL.

Yup, it's history repeating itself. The core of the Leafs has been the same for a few years now, no reason to believe things will change.

the leafs are not a good team, they just got lucky for a while.
i don't think they are awful, just not good.
