While Reimer is making a name for himself, what will decide if he should be in the running to play at the Olympics is how he follows this up during the regular season leading up to the Olympic selections.

Exactly and if trends of the last year continue into next year he is definitely in discussions.

Obviously he is a long shot, but these things happen from time to time.

He deserves an invite to camp if nothing else. If his play is similar to this season, then he should make it.

unfortunately politics will probably dictate whom is named for the tournament, and we'll ahve to watch Price and Fleury

Which means Canada will be doing squat at the Olympics with those two in net.

I'm happy for you guys and what Reimer is doing but as a Canadian I wouldn't be comfortable or confident with Reimer leading us to gold. He might have played better than Price this year but I would feel more confident with him or Luongo in net for us.

They have both played in big tournaments for Canada and come up big for us. Reimer is a battler but his glove hand against the best snipers in the world would scare me. Just my opinion.

Bit too soon for this!

Reimer would need to finish off these playoffs (whenever they end for us) just as strong as this series so far, then play as good or better in the regular season to be considered. It might be too soon for him, but who knows.

Either way, we should let this unfold on its own rather than thinking about it and getting our hopes up. ;)

IMO, Ward, Price and Fleury shouldn't even be in the conversation at this point.

The choice should be between Crawford, Holtby, Reimer, and Luongo.

Goal is going to be the weakest part of the team. Hopefully they just grab a couple guys streaking, one of Price, Ward, Reimer, Crawford or Holtby and run with them.

Does a player have to attend the Olympic camp to make the roster? I say this because camp will be held in the summer, before he plays any more NHL regular season games. Its likely that as many as 5-6 goalies will get invites to camp. So if he gets invited and performs well, then continues a high level of play in the season, he may make the team.

Reimer either let's in <=2 goals and wins, or lets in 5+ and blows the game. There is no middle ground. No he cannot make Team Canada.

I like Reimer and really want him to do well, but he's shown himself to be a solid goalie at best and nothing more. I don't think he's made even one great Rask like save the whole series while Rask has been making key save after key save to keep the Bruins in the game and giving his team the chance to make that comeback.

Umm...did you watch Game 5 or Game 6? He pretty much singlehandedly kept them in contention until the last ten mins of the game.
