I don't know about 50 but I hope he scores enough to make Treliving weep. As a renewed Oilers fan (living in Calgary) I hope Neal goes on to prove that Holland is, indeed, the competent GM the Oilers have been so desperate for.

Edit: I voted no only because I think he'll cool down to a more conventional pace for the season. I do think he'll score more than 7. I hope he scores more than 20.

He has always been a great finisher when surrounded by elite talent (Malkin) but this sample size indicates very little. He may still end up with 20-30.

50 no way. Keep in mind Ovechkin and Draisaitl are the only players to do it since the last lockout. People keep forgetting how difficult that is to do, even for the most elite players in the league.

I think he will score 30 though if he stays healthy, and when he does, the Holland statue goes up for turning the worst contract in the league into a 30 goal scorer.

It’s a real possibility. McDavid turned a guy like Draisaitl who couldn’t crack 30 goals into a 50 goal scorer. Real deal Neal has a real shot at 50 this year.

No. He wears down through the season. At least that's what happened in Vegas.

He could certainly hit 30 before that happens, though. Maybe 40. He's obviously very motivated to prove his worth after last year's bad marriage.
