One of the top NCAA-bound players out of Canada for the 2024 NHL draft. Buttazzoni can be so deceptive with his cuts that cause defenders to panic at his age. He is a transition monster that uses his quick hands and feet to gain zone entry. He is a guy where the puck follows him around the ice. It will be interesting to see how he plays going forward.

Older bro is a Clarkson commit, gotta assume there is some NCAA-route smoke/fire here. Also cousins of Zach Benson. Looks to be one of the most promising Canadian ‘06’s on an NCAA track.

His rights were traded from Medicine Hat to Portland today.

It is then announced he has signed with Portland. Very interesting development here. I definitely didn’t expect this. Huge get for Portland for sure!

One interesting note is the Coquitlam had just brought on Kyle Turris and only a few days later Diego left the team? Funny coincidence it seema.
