Thought that it might be worth to create a thread about Danil Alalykin. Went undrafted a year ago (which isn't a surprise, since he didn't play in the MHL back then), but this year there already were reports that the Flyers and Kings have shown interest.

#61 C Danil Alalykin (3/27/01 — 6’0, 160 — Shoots Left) — A tough postseason in which he was held in check shouldn’t detract from this wiry two-way center’s promising future, as he proved to be one of Tolpar’s top goal scorers while playing nearly 20 minutes a game and in all situations. He is a left shot who also played right wing and saw time on Rodion Amirov’s flank on the top line in the postseason — wide base and hunched skater but generates plenty of speed and can change gears into a powerful direct rush to the net — soft hands and confident on the puck -- aggressive off the puck and has a high compete level -- wins battles against bigger players and goes to the net

I thought this is a board for NHL prospects, but Caser is just uploading news on some random russian players.

According to eliteprospects.com he is still eligible for the 2022 NHL Draft.

While the current situation makes drafting any players from Russia tenuous, with the prospects of holding his rights indefinitely does that make Alalykin a worthwhile late round target?

Just wondering since they are with the same club, how would he compare with Danil Bashkirov in terms of their development and NHL potential?

No NHL potential for both so about equal.

Both should be nice KHLers for long time though.
