Had a hat-trick last night, now 17 goals and 26 points in 25 games. Looks like he has a real good release.

Why isn't this kid ranked higher? What is it that he's lacking in his game?

I think most scouting outlets have him somewhere in the late first-early second round. If he continues his current well-rounded play, especially his outstanding goalscoring, he’ll go between 15-25 come draft day.

I don’t quite understand myself, this kid has been very impressive all year but no one seems to notice. Easy mid 1st round pick for me, a sleeper to go top 10 in the end.

It's not really that anything is lacking. He's an intelligent, goal-scoring center that's good defensively.

I think he projects to be a good 2C in the NHL. It's just that there's probably higher-end talent available.

I’ve been VERY impressed by his play for London this year. He is a very well rounded player, reminds me of the player he was traded for. Robert Thomas.

He should be top 10. He is way above Kaliyev IMO.
I don’t know about “way above”, but they certainly have a lot of comparable attributes with Kaliyev only notably ahead in terms of shooting ability - and even then, McMichael is also a natural goalscorer - and McMichael is light years better without the puck and in terms of consistent engagement.

In my opinion, as it stands now. I have Suzuki and McMichael neck and neck as the top OHL prospect. I love this kid. I thought his production would dip after Cotten and Formenton came in. But if anything he’s played even better.

Very smart player who makes very few mistakes. Solid in the faceoff circle at around 55%. Still a late first round pick for me but perhaps that's just my wishful thinking to have him fall to my Leafs....not very many players slipping though IMO. A very solid first round where a player like McMichael can go 10-15 or 25-31 depending on if a team really likes what they see.

4 points tonight (2G 2A)

I've only seen highlights but this kid looks pretty impressive to me. I think I'd have him at least as a mid 1st rounder right now.

Seems like a high IQ player who can both pass and shoot.

Leads the Knights in scoring by 10 points( granted same pace as Formenton who just got back and ahead of Foudy). Trails only Kaliyev in U18 players in the OHL (ahead of Suzuki).

Top 15 if he keeps this up? Maybe even sneak into the top 10? He was always a talent and being in London was always going to be helpful but now the stats are becoming hard to ignore.

It's a real shame that the Oilers probably won't get him. I'd love to hear Kevin Quinn tying himself into knots with their names.

Anyone has any videos? Shift by shift, highlights, full length game?

If you want to just get a quick feel for how he plays, he dominated in the Knights’ last game. There were some streams so maybe you could poke around and find someone who cached it, but he factored into a bunch of goals then, so you could go to CHL.ca and watch the game highlights.
