Very surprised to see he didn’t have a thread. Kid could challenge for the #1 overall pick in the OHL this season and early indications suggest he is one of the top talents out of Ontario for the 2024 NHL draft.

Guess we’ll see how things play out.

Ottawa region and the CCHL have been producing some talented prospects in recent years : Quinn, Goyette, Guindon, McTavish and Cormier now

You can add his teammate Nathan Villeneuve to that list alongside Cormier, Both are high end ‘06’s from Ottawa.

Cormier and Villeneuve strike me as the very similar type of player, with the exception that Nathan plays a more physical game. But skill, hands, shooting, qi and skating are very close level. Ben has been playing on the wing, but the skill set and 200' game will take him to the center once they part ways, similar to what happened to Riley Heidt at whl when he split from Brayden Yager.
