Gotta love how Burnside opens up with a retort about knowing hockey.. then proceeds to say that the Stars were the last team to go to back-to-back Cup Finals before the Wings/Pens did it in 2008/2009.

there's simple mistakes and then there's this.. pretty stupid all around.
But anyone who follows the game (i.e. anyone familiar with the franchise known as the Edmonton Oilers) knows that draft picks guarantee nothing. Shero presided over a team that went to back-to-back Stanley Cup finals in 2008 and 2009, winning a Cup the second time. Only Ken Holland, whose Detroit Red Wings tangled with Shero’s Penguins both of those seasons in the finals, can say the same since the Dallas Stars went to back-to-back Cups in 1999 and 2000 (losing to the Devils in 2000, by the way).
