Awful team, worst in the history of the franchise.

I have to disagree. The current team is pretty good compared to this.

Rucinsky - Linden - Zubrus
Savage - Zholtok - Petrov
Corson - Darby - Stevenson
Brunet - Poulin - Ward

Weinrich - Brisebois
Dykhuis - Rivet
Bouillon - Lachance

Hackett
Théodore

Injured : Koivu

Linden missed alot of that season too. Zholtok stepped into #1C and ended up scoring something like 26 goals.

I believe the team was eliminated on game 82 after a loss to the sens.

It actually turned out to be an exciting finish because the Habs went on a big winning streak at the end with tons of injuries.

Please that team would teach this team a hockey lesson.

Remember many of those players were not at their peak. Corson, for example, was a shadow of his former self. Same for Linden and Weinrich. Zubrus was an unproven 20 years old. Petrov scored just 2 goals that year. Brunet's career was going downhill with all of his injuries. Darby, Poulin, Ward, Dykhuis and Lachance were totally useless players with no upside. Theodore was just starting to be good. Brisebois was the #1 defenseman.

No way this team was better than the current one. At least the current one has upside. Apart from Zubrus and Théodore, there was no young player with potential on that team.

This. So much this.

Don't get me wrong, the 2018-2019 edition of the Habs is gross, but the Reggie Houle era was atrocious.

Just to put things in perspective for folks that didn't live it, Oleg Petrov I would say is the equivalent of Paul Byron.....and we have Paul Byron generally on our 3rd or 4th line right now (4th in the vote)

Both pathetic but i think it's more pathetic at this point in time icing this garbage team.
