I think it's obvious now that if every player is healthy, then we have too much depth. I really doubt that Mete, Reilly and Juulsen start the season in the top 6, with Benn and Schlemko out. I also don't believe any of Deslauriers, Peca or Shaw will be sent down. I even expect McCarron and Ouellet to start the season in Montreal. That means some players will have to be traded or waived before the game opener. If I had to make a prediction :

8 defensemen :
Petry

And once everybody is healthy, I think McCarron could be waived if he doesn't improve. Juulsen could be sent back to AHL to get some good ice time. Ouellet too if he doesn't show good things. Després could eventually be called up ifhe does well. One of Benn or Schlemko could also be traded for a late draft pick.
