Let's build together the Habs 2013-14 starting line-up. This would be an "injury free" line-up, so let's do as if Gionta and Emelin were ready to start on day one.

Try to build lines that work, instead of just voting for the best player for each position.

Between (brackets) is the normal position for this player. You can always vote to put a player in another position.

Time to pick the 4th line center :

FORWARDS

???? - Plekanec - ????
???? - Eller - ????
???? - Desharnais - ????
???? - ???? - ????

DEFENSEMEN

GOALERS

--------------------------------
1st call-up (offense) : ????
2nd call-up (offense) : ????
3rd call-up (offense) : ????
1st call-up (defense) : ????
2nd call-up (defense) : ????
1st call-up (goaler) : ????

I voted for White too, but I believe he should be on the short leash. Dumont, Bournival and Nattinen will be knocking at his door pretty quickly.

Since MB and MT came in, it seems they have favored very much stability in the linemates.
It starts with Duos.
Some are obvious according to last season time usage:
  • Plekanec - Gionta
  • Galchenyuk - Eller
  • Pacioretty - Desharnais
  • Moen - White
We should expect some experiment during the first 3 or 4 pre-season games.
But the favored duos seems to be pretty much locked unless a player goes into a slump or injuries.

With Gionta coming late from injury, I can see Briere replacing him.
  • Bourque - Plekanec - Briere
  • Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
  • Pacioretty - Desharnais - Prust
  • Moen - White/Dumont - Parros/Dumont

Once Gionta is back:
  • Bourque - Plekanec - Gionta
  • Galchenyuk - Eller - Briere
  • Pacioretty - Desharnais - Gallagher
  • Moen - White/Dumont - Prust/Dumont

Among these players, only Eller (L and C), Prust (L, C and R), Galchenyuk (L, C), Bourque (12 minutes on RW) and Moen (5 minutes on RW) had time on more than one position.
