$7.5 mill dead cap per spotrac. S, depsite what Seattle gave up for Adams, really isn't a key position in the NFL now on Defenses. Due $13 and $14 mill in base salaries the next 2 seasons. Manageable amounts for a starting S. Question is whether this is contract related?

That's a reason why Ramsey didn't return as much was that he wanted a new deal. Same with Hopkins right now. Sounds like he wants a new deal too upon a trade.

No idea of the market for him.

Really tough to trade a safety. He’s better than Jamaal Adams, but Adams was younger and an outlier.

Adams and Fitzpatrick were both still on their rookie deals. Baker did an extension already. But, he's not old in that sense, but those other 2, I think they came out after 3 years in school. So, fairly young guys when dealt.

Adams is a couple months older than Baker while Fitz is like 10 months young. Both have been with their new teams for 3 and 4 years respectively.

Curious as to the reason, aside from the Cards likely being bad next year without Kyler for half the season.
