Budaj/Peterson vs. Free Agent Goalies

Ride out the season what we've.Quick will probably be back around 2 to 6 weeks.Campbell around the same.

The only circumstance they should trade for another goalie is if both Budaj and Petersen get injured, if 1 goes down you just make sure you have an accountant who also played goalie during his college career sitting on the bench as an emergency tender.

Tough situation, but as mentioned Quick is out a few more weeks. If it were a few months, then the situation would be different. There's a not a ton of great options on the goalie scrap heap. Steve Mason is pondering retirement, so I doubt he's mentally/physically ready to face NHL competition on short notice. Kari Lehtonen might not be interested in a situation where he'd be waived in six weeks.

Probably some less than satisfying #3s who'd be available around the league. Off the top of my head, Al Montoya (EDM), Anton Forsberg (CHI), Calvin Pickard (PHI), Curtis McElhinney (CAR), Eddie Lack (NJD). Might as well run with Budaj/Petersen.
