BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, March 6, that the club has signed defenseman Torey Krug to a one-year contract extension through the 2015-16 season worth a cap figure of $3,400,000 and forward Reilly Smith to a two-year contract extension through the 2016-17 season worth an annual cap figure of $3,425,000.

Don't like those dollars much but to be expected I guess. Just saw the alert on my phone and was hoping for lesser dollars. Especially for smith

Don't really like the $$ for either deal. Not at all. Especially not Smith.

Be interesting to see if one or both are dealt in the offseason with their contracts signed.

Now we can trade Smith for a defenseman in the offseason hopefully... Chiarelli can't intend on keeping 4 top 9 RWers, can he?

It would have been better at this $$ if Krug was the 2 year and Smith got 1. Full no movement clauses?

Krug was going to get a raise people, look at the points he puts up from the backend. I dont know why some are complaining about Krugs deal.

Smiths deal is just yuck
