yep, glad he's back, I wonder what the delay was all about. Now all we really need is a 3C

3 years seems a little excessive for a 4th liner, but hopefully that pushes the AAV down quite a bit.

Glad to have Kuraly back. Hoping the AAV is fair. 3 years takes him to UFA, correct?

That is my understanding.

I don't think there was any delay. Its been in the works for a week (as some have reported) but they probably wanted to wait until after July 1st to see about Tavares.

Curious about the number so hopefully that comes out soon.

Just glad he's back

Love Kuraly, glad he is back. Depending on how things shake out with trades / other signings, plus training camp surprises etc I think they might try this bottom 6 next year. I like it for many reasons, however, goal scoring would not be its strength. Come playoffs, barring a real blossoming from Heinen/DeBrusk/Donato I fear we're still a one line team in terms of consistent scoring. Sucks, because I really don't want to waste a second of 37's career.

Heinen - Kuraly - Backes
Wagner - Nordstrom - Acciari

Not a huge fan, but okay with him coming back provided the AAV isn't off the charts. I guess we wait and see before passing any real judgement on this deal.

Kuraly is not a viable 3rd line centre imo. I like him as a 4th liner. If no trades are made I believe JFK should get a real shot at 3C

if it's 1.4 or below he's viewed as a 4th liner, over 1.5 and he's our 3rd line center. I'm guessing after what I saw in UFA for worse players we are looking at 3/5.25 or better.

Longer deals at lower AAV may result in marginal added cap room when we need it for the next crop of extensions. Assuming they pan out more or less.

I'm hoping that the deal's kept in mind with him as a fourth liner. He's perfect for that kind of duty.

Regardless, I'm fond of his play, so I'm glad he's back. I hope he keeps improving on his skills
