I really liked him - great hair as well

The concussions ruined him but he looked like a top 6 player early on

Taken 2 picks after Kessel

wow a PTO for a guy under 30, can't complain really. Could be a good buy low option if he's past all the health problems.

Interesting, no risk here. I'd be shocked if he makes it but you never know.

Had an impressive (and his best season by far) as a rookie, 22 G, 54 pts in 81 games all the way back in 2007-2008. Had injury problems and it's been all downhill from there.

Could he be any worse than Jimmy Hayes?

Agreed. Anyone have any kind of scouting report on how he looks these days?

Always liked mueller but what's this mean for all the young guys we assumed that would be battling for jobs?

Well a PTO doesn't exactly slot him onto the first line does it???

If the kids are better, they'll beat him out. Either way though, I like this signing. Why not take a shot, especially if there's the potential for more upside than a guy like DoMo. This feels like a Connolly move, only it didn't cost us two 2nd's.

My guess is nothing.

The young guys got contracts, Mueller doesn't. Mueller essentially has to beat out all of them to get a NHL job.

Yeah, I very much doubt he makes the team. He didn't do anything special in Sweden. I wouldn't like to see one of our young guns lose a spot to this guy.

I'd be shocked to see Rinaldo on the big club. He still has to serve his suspension so it would be dead money and a spot until that is done.

Mueller got a bad rep after last season in the SHL -Not in good physical shape and uninspired play.
I've always liked him but do not think this will pan out.
