Yeah I considered it and said everything i’m saying is wrong if he wanted to attend the camp. And it isn’t a big issue I just think it’s crazy no one else is acknowledging how weird is it

Because nobody actually thinks it is?

Which is crazy!

Why though? Honestly, this guy is coming from another culture and in spite of your amazing 48 hours to fully assimilate into other cultures, I find that would not be the norm for most people. It would likely take a few months to become comfortable and maybe a year or 2 to fully assimilate into a new country.

Then a week doesn’t matter in your example

Wow 5 pages to discuss someone no one will remember when the season starts. Hope you help Providence, and best of luck in your AHL career.

I think he’s a lot like the agostino signing. Which I got unrealistically excited about.

For Martin Bakos? The Bruins intent is to get him here and get familiar with how the organization works. They may also have plans for him to find a place if they assign him to the AHL. This is all about about a player who is likely here to make a few bucks in the AHL and take a shot at the NHL and what the Bruins think would be the best plan for him to succeed.

I seriously doubt that Martin Bakos has had one shred of a thought about being 28 years old and attending a development camp being insulting

You seriously doubt the thought that he’s 6-10 years older than everyone hasnt popped in his head? I’d probably have a couple thoughts if someone plopped me in a high school pre calculus class with teenagers and the next youngest person 6 years younger than me but most are like 9.

And all of that stuff could be accomplished without him doing wind sprints all week learning about pro hockey habits

Not at all. I think you're really overthinking this. The guy is a professional hockey player coming from one country to another and into a new organization. It's all about orientation and nothing more

Is this an offseason thing? Over think the littlest things?

1.) Bakos signing...How does he feel about going to Development Camp? Why is he here?

2.) How would Tavares feel about potentially taking a job away from Krejci? Are the bros?

3.) Bruins meeting with Tavares was the shortest. Clearly this isn't good.

4.) Why do fans make prospect lists?

The list goes on and on....

Bakos has been sharp in Dev camp, focused and smiling. He is in no way appearing like a disgruntled participant. Dude has an accurate, hard shot, with a quick.. like really quick release of either foot. He uses his body well, passes very well, and by my eye test is proactively taking a leadership role at camp.

He's signed to an AHL deal, but this week has been the start of his try out for the big club. That's why he's here, happily.

“I feel very old,” Bakos joked after Wednesday’s session at Warrior Ice Arena. “But it’s good for me and I come here a little bit earlier than main (training) camp because I need experience on US (ice).”

He clearly has skills one-on-one. Bruins 4th line LW this season and Shootout specialist. Kind of :sarcasm: because he could very well make the team as a 4th line LW, and I'm sure would be an option on shootouts.

I think it's good to see an older guy willing to come over to participate in Development Camp. He has experience, and he is clearly a step above everyone else. That pushes the young players, and gives them a little taste of what it will be like at the next level. Hopefully he's being a leader on the ice as well.

so.......kind of what posters here have tried to mention to you, all about him simply becoming acclimated a bit so when TC opens, he`s a bit more used to his surroundings.

Yeah, just figured I’d confirm their theory
