we'll run another top 25 list toward the end of the summer like last year, but after the draft, figured it was
good to throw a bunch of the names together to get a head start. my list right now, which could be missing

3) Trent Frederic - C
4) Jack Studnicka - C
5) Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson - C
6) Jakub Lauko - C/W
7) Zach Senyshyn - W
8) Jakub Zboril - D
9) Jeremy Lauzon - D
10) Peter Cehlarik - W

I would still include Bjork on any prospects list.
when we did the project last year, we used a 25 NHL game threshold for eligibility.
I remember the days when the Other Notables was our prospect pool!
Bergerooner. What's the deal with Spooner/Bergy lovechild looking Cedric Pare? Is he doing another year in junior or does he get signed? Is he even AHL eligible- they have to be 20 to play there out of junior, right? Is that 20 at season start or during that year?

Bergerooner.
He's got 1 year left as he's 19 now. He played in Providence at the end of this season but didn't sign an ELC.
St. John's just traded him to Rimouski in the Q in late May so he'll be playing for a new team as well this season.
Bruins Prospect Cedric Pare traded in QMJHL
Can't wait to see him this week in camp.
NP!Thanks for posting that Alicat! Stanley Cup of Chowder was nice enough to include that section of the CBA that covers junior players in the article . It also seems like Pare has grown since he was drafted too. He might be one of those under the radar guys that turn out to be a nice bottom 6/PK player for us.
NP!
Can't wait to see him this week.
I'm specifically interested in his confidence. He seemed to psych himself out a few times last year and you could tell he was a bit jittery with the puck.
Dev Camp rosters come out at noon so hopefully he's on it
Studnicka ahead of JFK? You guys are nuts.
Studnicka ahead of JFK? You guys are nuts.
If that’s the case. KOko should be included.
JFK and Studnicka are pretty close. Both are skilled playmakers. Studnicka is a faster and more aggressive skater. JFK is the positional wizard. When given the opportunity in pre-season, Studnicka looked like a future NHL'r. In his one NHL game, JFK looked like a fish out of water. It's a tiny sample, but seizing opportunity has to count for something.
Let's see how they both do in Providence this year. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Studnicka outperforms JFK out of the gate. He is a hungry competitor. JFK on the other hand, is like the tortoise in the Aesop fable. He could quietly put up 70pts in Providence as long as he stays healthy.
I like both players, but I don't see a giant gap in upside.

Studnicka can't play in Providence this year.
I don't see Studnicka anywhere near JFK. Studnicka is a project. JFK is almost ready to play centre in the NHL.
And Studnicka, to some, may have more NHL upside as a player than JFK does? So does this mean anyone who has Frederic over JFK is nuts also?
