The LOL that would be Leaf fans if he developed into a top pairing defenseman with McAvoy would be amazing but my hope is he develops and grows into a bottom pairing guy. Sounds like he has a lot of talent though. The stuff you can’t teach and the size? A great wildcard to take on. Hope they get him signed.

To me, this move either means we are trading a D prospect from providence or they talked to Lysell and he's coming to providence next season and they want a big guy to protect him.

The so-called "off-ice issues" are from a few years ago, so hopefully that is behind him now. However, Greenway, in 2019, offered "no comment" when asked about it. Granato, his coach at U of W, did not offer much more, but did manage to spill that it was partially due to academic reasons.

Wow, amazing toolset on this kid. I love that Sweeney is taking chances on high ceiling prospects. Hopefully the B's can get him signed and develop him.
