Okay so Mitchell & Ness have Bruins jerseys for sale of historical players (Cam Neely 1988-1989 home jersey with Assistant captain patch, Derek Sanderson 1971-72 Home jersey, Bobby Orr 71-72 Home, Gerry Cheevers 71-72 home..) but the one that sticks out is the Bruins 1989-99 Home jersey.. it has the Stanley Cup Final patch on it! They lost in that Finals, correct? I find that pretty funny that they actually have it on the jersey.

First off, it is alternate captain not assistant

I think it is pretty cool that they have an apparently authentic jersey from the 1990 finals, nothing funny about it.

Both teams that played in the Stanley Cup final series that year(Boston & Edmonton) wore that patch for the entire series.

This. Both teams in the final always wear a patch; it's the same in every other sport - World Series, Superbowl, etc. Why would that be funny?

They also have a Wayne Gretzky 1992-93 Kings jersey with the SCF patch, they lost also. Will probably still buy the Bruins jersey now that I know why they had it on there.
