Pastrnack had bursa surgery on his rt elbow yesterday (friday) and will likely miss next two games.

These injuries just never stop coming, losing Pasta is a double-killer, we go from the top RW in hockey to the worst player in hockey with the likely insertion of the horrific Hayes.

It may be Ference who is driving up the numbers. He has been out all year and don't think he is expected to return but he is still under contract with them.

Edmonton is missing Nurse (9 games) Fayne (20 games), Pakarinen (34 games). They've only had 9 players play in every game.

They do add up fast. Nurse up to 9 already surprised me. Good on the Oilers for their effort to overcome it.

David Pastrnak, out the last two games because of elbow surgery, participated in today’s optional practice at Warrior Ice Arena. Claude Julien said it’s possible that Pastrnak could play on the road trip, either tomorrow against Florida or Friday against Carolina. The 19-goal scorer has not dressed since last Thursday against Anaheim.

Julien also said Frank Vatrano could play on the trip. It would be the season debut for Vatrano following preseason foot surgery.

If both Pastrnak and Vatrano get the green light, the Bruins would have to sit two wings. Noel Acciari and Tim Schaller are at the highest risk of taking a seat. Neither performed well in last night’s 4-2 loss to the Islanders. Jimmy Hayes would have been a candidate to be a healthy scratch, but the right wing has rediscovered his legs and hands in the last two games.
