My uneducated guess....
Miller gonna be out a while.

Need for some grit?

“But listen, they are what they are and they are where they are in their career,” he added. “We went into this year with a good feeling on Kevan Miller’s health and unfortunately that took a turn. We miss that. We miss that bite back there — someone to settle things down. And [Jeremy Lauzon] we knew would play hard. He’s a big man that makes it tough in front of the net. We’ve missed those two guys.
“The last two games, a lot of stuff has happened in front of our net. Unfortunately, that’s not the strength of Zboril and Vaakanainen right now

Jarred Tinordi Bio

The son of longtime NHL defenseman Mark Tinordi was captain of the U.S. National Team Development Program when he was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the first round (No. 22) in the 2010 NHL Draft.

The 6-foot-6 defenseman turned pro in 2012 and made his NHL debut with the Canadiens on March 16, 2013, earning an assist in a 2-1 victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins. He bounced between the Canadiens and their AHL affiliates until being traded to the Arizona Coyotes on Jan. 15, 2016.

Tinordi got into eight games for the Coyotes in 2016-17, but spent the next three seasons in the AHL with three different organizations - the Coyotes in 2016-17, the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2017-18 and the Nashville Predators in 2018-19. He finally earned a return to the NHL when the Predators called him up from Milwaukee of the AHL in late December 2019, and he scored his first NHL goal on Jan. 29, 2020, against the Washington Capitals.

Stats are horrendous but as a stop gap measure sure why not. Need some toughness back there with the way they've been pushed around lately.

Without knowing much about the cap.....

Is there any chance that this is a part of a potential deal that includes Vaakanainen and Ekholm?

Meaning, does the Bruins taking Tinordi (a guy they waived...therefore were fine with losing) open up a roster spot (or free up cap space) to facilitate a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 type of deal?

Get the feeling that the saddest person on the planet the past year has been Sweeney as he hasn’t been able to spend his days shopping at the local thrift store.

Guy loves a bargain. I’ll give him that.

He will replace Kampfer as the 7th d man and Kampfer will go to the taxi squad. Also I expect him to get waived sooner rather than later.
