Quite right. He thoroughly deserves it, although I didn't think they'd give it to him. To take a tired, disappointed playing group with an ageing core and serious question marks over depth at both ends, and turn it into the team with indisputably the best record in the league, despite a middling run with injuries, was a major accomplishment. Yes things didn't go as we all would have hoped for in the playoffs, but that doesn't change assessment of Cassidy's mostly stellar performance in the regular season. Congrats Bruce!

Congrats to Bruce! I may not think he is an elite playoff coach, but he is obviously a very good coach. Bs won the President's Trophy with some severe winger issues in the middle six, yet again. Impressive. Bruce deserved the award for sure.
